Well Bushrod couldn't reacquire his job from the one we have now
so while we could use an OT I am not so sure the need is
overwhelming. I think the need is on the other side.

We STILL need a LT ... the one we have and something in Draft
... F.A.
What's in play in F.A. & the Draft?
Bushrod is a monkey wrench that Halas Hall has to address
pronto.
This takes precedence over any thing else.
No way we go into a season with one LEFT TACKLE.
That's suicide and self destruction.
What's in play in F.A. & the Draft ?
DAMN ! I thought we were going all Defense ... but this changes
everything.
Left Tackle has to be priority # 1.

#1 priority? Have you seen our defense?
Leno's sack and penalty numbers were right there with the other
left tackles in our division (Kahlil, Baktiari, Rieff). He's
not prototype size and he's not a strong run blocker but he's a
guy you can probably get by with.
Still, the Bears could very well draft a LT in round 1, but I'm
thinking they will draft a RG/RT somewhere in the first 3 rounds
and then decide where to play Long.
Shoot, they just might move Long to LT.

DAL,
Would you want to risk moving Long to LT as an experiment for a
season ?
That could be a long season.
We got thrown a monkey wrench with Bushrod that we never
counted on.
The issue has to be addressed #1.
X amount of Defense gotten is useless if the QB is putting them
on the field all the time because he's getting blindsided.

Did anyone watch Ronnie Stanley a lot this past season?
The more I read, the more I like the thought of taking him if
he's there at 11, despite his college of choice...

Sorry Jackie, but we did a last minute experiment of moving Long
to RT this last year. He did ok but not great. Who knows what
would happen with a FULL offseason at LT, or wherever we are
planning on playing him......
