Dallas 3/4 Des are more like 6'5/6'6 and 290-300lbs. That's what
the goal is to find, and someone who has pass rush skills as
well as run stopping skills which we don't have.

Well unless the NFL is folding after 2016... who cares?!
If they think a QB is going to be a franchise guy in 2yrs they
damn well better take him at 11. This is a QB league and Jay
Cutler is nowhere near a franchise QB. I'm not sure if you gave
Jay either of the Superbowl team's defenses he could've lead
either to the championship game this last year.
There isn't a position on the Bears that couldn't use an
upgrade. The Bears aren't winning a Superbowl in 2016.

If we could snag a pass rushing D lineman and a CB or OLB as
FA's
taking a QB would be much easier with the 11th pick. Can't see
it if that doesn't happen.

That last mock was based on what was available to me when it
was my selection.I agree DBs are one of the biggest
concerns,however,the DBs I was looking for were gone.I would
love to grab Hargreaves with our 1st and Jeremy Cash,Darian
Thompson or Artie Burns with our 2nd.Unfortunately all were
gone. With these computerized scenario Nkemeche was the best
value at our 2nd round selection and I took him.
In real life I would target Hargreaves (CB) with our #11. If
he were gone my most likely second choice would be to grab one
of the 3 QBs,in particular Lynch or Wenze.I would also listen to
trading down four spots with L.A. in order to grab one of there
extra 2nd rounders. I just don't see any true difference makers
at #11 that don't have some kind of question mark due to either
inconsistency or injury.To trade down we could at least counter
that gamble with another high round draft pick.

I think if Myles Jack falls to 11 you have to take him or if we
did drop down and take Nikemdiche there it would help us there
more than a QB. Again I don't think a QB is that great enough
need this year. That pitiful defense needs so much help you just
cant avoid a defensive player. I just cant justify a clipboard
carrier at #11. Now if Cutler's right arm were to fall off next
week that would change but I don't see anything better than
Cutler out there where that player is going to take Cutler's job
away in 2016 or 2017. As decimated as this defense is I just
cant justify a QB.

If Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady is there at 11, yeah you take him.
He may not play this year, and he sure isn't going to help the
D, but that is the kind of talent that can win a lot of games
for the next 10 or 12 years. Now can you identify a college QB
and say he is the next Rodgers? That is the hard part.

I was just waiting to see how long it would take.
There will be at least 10 or 20 difference makers taken after
#11...just got to do your homework and get lucky.

Absolutely correct. Well said. Do your homework and hope for the
best. The defensive talent is the deepest in years.

Agreed, if you have a guy that you think is a franchise QB, you
take him and groom him for a year or two. Having the man is too
valuable to pass on him especially when your starter will be a
33yo diabetic that misses a few games each year. You are much
more likely to find a defensive stud later on in the draft than
a franchise qb.
