Bullard looks like a nice blend of speed and power. But he did
have a brace on his knee in a some clips, has he been hurt a
lot, or how bad?

Bullard is like 6-3, 265. Decent size for a 4-3 DE but too
short and light for a 3-4. You need length in a 3-4 DE. Take
look at DeForrest Buckner 6-6, 290.

He's 6-3 283 and from this report could play 3-4 DE or possibly
4-3 DT if he added some weight - you'd like him to be a little
taller but they said Dwight Freeney was too short:
STRENGTHS: The broad-shouldered defender is asked to line up at
virtually every spot along Florida's defensive line, but
projects best as a base defensive end in the NFL, exhibiting the
length, strength and toughness to intrigue scouts from 4-3 and
3-4 schemes, alike. Bullard is appropriately named as his game
is about bullish power. He flashes an explosive burst off the
ball. He does a nice job of getting his arms into passing lanes
to distract quarterbacks.
Bullard's value lies in his ability to hold up at the point of
attack in the running game. Exhibiting impressive lower-body
strength, Bullard anchors well and has the length to set the
edge and keep containment responsibilities. He doesn't possess
Dexter Fowler's nimble change of direction or explosive closing
speed, but locates the ball quickly and shows good strength to
latch on and drag down ballcarriers in his vicinity.
He also will receive praise from NFL scouts for his willingness
to play through pain and still make an impact as a senior.
WEAKNESSES: Has a tendency to stand too upright and shows
less-than ideal lateral agility to create space between he and
blockers, limiting his ability to create a lane for himself to
pursue the quarterback.
IN OUR VIEW: Bullard is a classic two-gap run-stuffer with size,
physicality and a blue-collar playing style. Teams will
appreciate his no-nonsense game and positional and schematic
versatility. Bullard will attract some first round attention.

With our 3-4 alignment your not going to be drafting those quick
twitch 6-4 260 lb DEs. The 3-4 DEs are a bit bigger (around
290) and more suited to stopping the run. If you can find a
guy like that with some pass rush ability - then you may want to
draft him with a first or second rounder.

Definitely need a DT who has more size to hold the line than
what's on the roster now. (except Goldman)

That's why I hope Muhammad Wilkerson becomes available.Size
(6-5 / 335lbs.) with pass rush ability.

That's is what I was thinking until he broke his leg. Will have
to see how he heals up first. The Bears are not known for their
recuperative powers.....

Lets hope Jaylon Smith has good recuperative powers. It is
appearing his prognosis for recovery is better than expected
