Cubs are hanging in there! Saturday's game at 7:08, the
pitching lineup will be interesting. It's too bad that Ben
Brown has been so erratic with his electric stuff. He's
completely rested, what a story that would be. Also heard there
is a slight chance that Horton could replace "cough" and injured
player on the Cubs playoff roster.

It remains unclear if six Ole Miss assistants who've signed with
LSU will coach the Rebels in the CFP semifinals next week vs.
Miami, per Yahoo Sports' @RossDellenger. Many around the
program expect some or all to officially join the LSU staff and
move on.

Ole Miss is hiring back a familiar face in John David Baker, to
be its next offensive coordinator under Pete Golding in 2026.
CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz confirmed the news Tuesday morning.
Baker will be replacing Charlie Weis Jr. once the Rebels
complete their upcoming run in the College Football Playoffs.
Rebels247 reported that the now former East Carolina offensive
coordinator scheduled to interview with Ole Miss over the
weekend. Baker also interviewed with Virginia Tech last week.
Baker was previously at Ole Miss from 2021 through the 2023
season, serving different roles between pass game coordinator,
tight ends and co-offensive coordinator (2022-2023) with Weis
Jr., before taking the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks
job at ECU. Though Baker took the ECU job before postseason
play, he still coached in Ole Miss' Peach Bowl victory against
Penn State to finish out the 2023 season.
We won’t miss much…

Truth be known, he’s probably second guessing his decision to
leave.
I’m really surprised that no team reached out to him for their
head coaching vacancy. He would have been perfect for Memphis,
or Southern Miss to a lesser extent.

Or USF but somewhat ok with the Hartline hire.
From listening to player interviews Weis had their respect and
attention. He’s going to do some things.
