I know, if I'm not mistaken, they were up 24 to nothing, and
lost... WTF.. I told my wife, typical Lovie team..
My wife is a Bucs fan. We watched them blow the lead, but only
to be up by 3 points, the ball inside Washington's 10 yard line
and they have just gotten stuffed on 3rd down. The commentators
start saying it looks like Smith is leaving them in on 4th down,
and I said finally Lovie has learned. 2:40 left to go and they
are going to go for it on 4th down, up by 3. Then Lovie changes
his mind to kick the FG. I told my wife they are going to
regret that decision. Too much time on the clock and now you
are forcing Washington to be aggressive and push the ball down
the field.
In that situation, I would rather go for it on 4th down, and if
you get the touchdown great, if you get stopped you have
Washington starting inside their own 10 with 2 minutes to go.
They will likely play it more conservatively going for the tie.
Sure enough, they kick the FG and then watch the Redskins drive
right down the field and score with 24 seconds to go. I was
almost "Bears" pissed off at that result. I knew it was going
to happen.
If I was up by 1 or 2 points, I would have kicked, but to be up
3 and a TD can still beat you. Just a poor call.

Sitting here watching the Panthers vs Eagles. Rivera has that
team playing solidly. And I'm noticing there's a former
Bear...there's another former Bear....and another former
Bear.... Makes it hard to stomach the mess the Bears are in.
Will this team ever get it together?
You mean all of the Bears that we didn't want on the team
anymore? Yah...
Let's look back see who wanted Olson gone, and who said Peanut
was done, etc... I will say I wanted the Bears to keep Tillman,
but was meh on Olson. So many fumbles with the Bears, but he
had a pretty good chemistry with Cutler. Who we also want gone,
I know. I actually like Bennett over Olson, though not sure why
he is dropping so many recently

If they didn't go elsewhere and play better it wouldn't be a
issue....Peppers, anyone?....

Allen is playing in a 4-3 scheme and most likely surrounded by
better personnel.
Olsen is playing about the same as he did with the Bears - prior
regime just didn't want to pay him when his rookie contract
ended. I'll take Bennett any day.
Tillman couldn't stay healthy with the Bears the last 2 years -
they supposedly drafted his replacement in Fuller and didn't
want to pay Tillman who also was a FA.
Peppers 2014 season was similar to what he had with the Bears
for about 4 seasons prior - however this year he's having a
great season.

Peppers and Allen gone before their time???
Take a look at the way the patriots do business then tell me
those were bad moves.

Peppers still had some gas left in the tank, but he just wasn't
motivated/trying. That is what pisses me off about him. Allen,
meh, he is running on fumes.

Agreed. I can't recall the specifics but in 2013 MORE than half
of his games he had a single tackle or less. He had that rep in
Carolina of not playing with motivation but we never saw it
until 2013 with the Bears.

I was going to say the same thing. He had that reputation in
Carolina. I believe he didn't care for Lovie being let go..
