McCown got 5 mill/yr from Tampa to be their starter. The Bears
weren't going to pay a backup that kind of money. I don't
begrudge McCown the money but as fragile as Cutler or as weak as
our OLine protects.... maybe it would have been smarter to pay
the extra money and kept McCown. He and Cutler got along well
too.

Is it just me or are the Seahawks missing Dan Quinn more than
they admit. He has Atlanta at 5-0.

Always glad when we can help someone get this:
The Lions became the last team in the NFL to win a game when
they beat the Bears in Week Six and they did it with a lot of
help from wide receiver Calvin Johnson.
Johnson caught six passes for 166 yards and caught a six-yard
touchdown pass with 21 seconds to play to put the Lions up
34-31. The Bears would rally for a game-tying field goal, but
Johnson’s 57-yard catch in overtime set the Lions up for Matt
Prater’s game-winning kick.
As a result of his exploits, Johnson has been named the NFC’s
offensive player of the week. It’s the fourth time that Johnson
has been so honored, leaving him behind only Barry Sanders for
most among Lions players.
Johnson’s performance was his best of a 2015 season that saw him
average less than 10 yards per catch between the second and
fourth weeks of the season. Getting more games like it would be
a significant boost to the Lions’ chances of adding to their win
total in the weeks to come.

Martellus would have won it if he didn't have butterfingers on
those TD drops

Sitting here watching the Panthers vs Eagles. Rivera has that
team playing solidly. And I'm noticing there's a former
Bear...there's another former Bear....and another former
Bear.... Makes it hard to stomach the mess the Bears are in.
Will this team ever get it together?
