Mike Spofford
Second-year defensive lineman did his job vs. Seahawks
GREEN BAY – Week 2 provided some redemption for Packers
defensive lineman Mike Pennel.
Pulled early from the opener in Chicago – his first NFL start –
when Bears running back Matt Forte got rolling, Pennel made up
for it last Sunday. Along with veteran linemen B.J. Raji and
Mike Daniels, Pennel played his part in holding Seattle’s
Marshawn Lynch to just 41 yards on 15 carries.
Pennel held his ground when needed and got penetration into the
backfield when called for, staying within the scheme better as
he was credited with three tackles, including one for loss on
Lynch. He also had one QB pressure...
John Fox's coaching record in the NFL without Peyton
Manning as QB?
81-81
Wayne Fontes anyone?
- Otter
Your point was Fox without Manning.
My post was; what is McCarthy's record without Rodgers? Not the
capabilities of the QB's that replaced him.
The morale of the story is people in glass houses should not
throw stones.

Fox has taken two teams (0-2) to the Superbowl, and McCarthy one
(1-0).
McCarthy has a 7-6 playoff record.
Fox has a 8-7 record.
With two hall of fame quarterbacks, you would think that
MCcarthy would have won more than he has. Manning was the first
QB with any pedigree, and at the end of his line. Outside of
his peak. You could make the same argument that Favre was not
at his best, but he has had Rodgers for what, 6 years?
Mittens...

I enjoy fantasy football but I hate that the NFLN is so much
about fantasy football now and less about real football.
I just heard one of the announcers get all bent out of shape on
the Calvin Johnson fumble because it was "an 8 point swing"
....."20,000 fans may have lost their games due to that fumble".

Fantasy football is huge. Never used to see commercials about it
but now there are. Even the android site I'm on has a eliminator
challenge (which I'm winning so far 8) ) and a lot of these
people are tech nerds who have to be told what a football looks
like, lol. It's crazy....
