My notes from a Trib article:
Winning individual blocks is essential, Fangio and players said.
Too frequently against the Packers, Green Bay's tackles stood up
edge rushers Allen, McPhee and Willie Young.
And how do you standup a DE - preventing him from moving inside
or outside? You are holding him. Most offensive tackles extend
their arms and push a defender to the outside using leverage.
The Bears mostly used their nickel package against the Packers,
playing their base 3-4 on only 3 of 58 snaps (excluding
kneel-downs). Playing more base would get an extra lineman on
the field in place of a defensive back. However, the Cardinals'
personnel groupings will dictate that.
Only 3 snaps - seems kind of low.
I hope Acho recovers from whatever his illness has. I'd like to
see more of him and Willie Young. Might also consider moving
McPhee inside when we rush 4 lineman.
