No way Schwarber is the primary catcher starting 2016, and I
expect Ross will be back if he wants to be back. I think I like
the three-catcher system of Montero, Schwarber, and Ross, but I
wonder about Montero. Is he going to be happy with fewer
starts, or would he rather get dealt somewhere he could be the
real primary guy? Do they care?
I read something about Montero -- 'a source close to him' said
he wasn't happy with playing time at the beginning of the season
and wanted to go somewhere else. I don't remember where I read
it, though. Anyone else seen anything like that? It doesn't
really fit with the guy we saw post-game last night, but it
       makes me curious.

I would think that is would be normal for a good player to only
play part time. If he didn't complain about it, he should have.
And Maddon should ignore the complaints.

Interesting article on the patience of the young Cub hitters:

I don't see the Cubs refusing to start Lester in the Wildcard
game because of concerns about holding runners on.

They were talking on the MLB Network yesterday about how
Arrietta should be the obvious choice.

I think it's premature to identify who should/would start a Wild
Card game (assuming the Cubs even get there). A lot could
happen with Lester and Arrieta between now and then.

Right now Arrieta would be the guy I would send out there. I
could certainly see the argument of experience for sending
       Lester out there.

       Thanks, Chris. Hoyer's quite impressive.
