Craig is a smart guy...
Madden on the Score said Castro is going to start getting work
and 2B/3B pregame.

I really like what Maddon has done with the Cubs lineup now, but
my biggest concern is Coghlan continuing to hit 3rd. If he is
going to be replaced by Herrera all the time then I think he
probably needs to hit a little lower in the lineup so he comes
up to the plate as infrequently as possible. When Baez comes up
in September maybe he ends up being a late inning replacement at
2B and at least his bat has a chance to do some damage.
I'm also curious to see what the lineup will look like next time
we face a tough lefty. Will Castro get a start? Will he play
SS or 2B? Will Schwarber start in LF with Ross catching?
Schwarber catching and Denorfia in LF? If it is Lester's turn
and Ross is catching, does Denorfia sit?

Maddon says they are going to try Castro at 2nd and 3rd base.

I don't see much purpose in trying Castro at third.

No way at 3rd. He can't throw from SS.
2B would better for him.

Ross is back off the bereavement list, and Szczur goes back down
for something like the 95th time this year.
La Stella was activated and optioned to AAA to get ABs.

Maddon says when there's a lefty starter Starlin Castro could
very well be the starter at 2nd. Addison Russell isn't moving
off SS

Well, Castro's .583 OPS against lefties does overshadow his .
574 OPS against righties.
