I really, really don't understand the hate Ross has gotten.
He's obviously a good defensive catcher. He's been a strong
backup for a decade. And he had a really good spring. Are Cubs
fans really *that* attached to Welington Castillo that they
can't give Ross a chance?

Bulls lose.
Blackhawks lose.
Cubs will lose.
Typical Chicago.

Not really fair to complain about failure to get hits with RISP
when the hitters hit the ball hard. Obviously that hasn't been
true in every instance though.

My issue with Ross playing in this game, especially after Lester
got pulled, is he does poorly against righties. I've got no
issue with Ross being the back up and playing against lefties.
Motte looked much better today as compared to the spring. He
located his fastball pretty well.

The Cubs just aren't going to get a single break tonight. Soler
crushed that ball. Holliday dropped it on the slide, but it
bounced off his bare hand and back into his glove.

The Cubs need to figure out how to win without getting a break.
Does anyone expect them to get lucky?

I expect them to get as many lucky breaks as any other team.
When a fielder drops a ball, I don't expect it to go off his
bare hand back into his glove.
