This is a really boring team.

The problem with guys who miss bats as infrequently as Hendricks
is innings like this--three weak hits early in the AB...a guy
like Arrieta, Lester, or even Hammel may have been ablve to
avoid the big inning because everyone isn't making weak contact
consistently.

A whole lot of LFers catch the flyball on the LeMahieu triple.
But, this is Coghlan. Helps to have a good defense all around
behind Hendricks.

Hendricks shows the Cubs what they're supposed to do with a
runner on second and no outs--RBI single, 4-2 Rockies.

Alcantara reaches on error, Hendricks RBI single, Herrera bunt
hit, and Fowler drops a single between three fielders. Bases
loaded, no outs, Rizzo and Soler up in a 4-2 game. They
absolutely have to at least tie it this inning.

Now Rizzo pops into foul territory right behind the plate, but
the catcher drops it. Come on, Cubs.

Sac fly for Rizzo. You'd really like more there (especially
after the dropped foul pop up), but I guess that's not the worst
thing.
Now Soler lines into a double play. Classic Cubs, they gave
them about 6 or 7 outs, and they can still only come away with 2
runs.

Can't blame Soler on that. He hit the ball on the nose right at
the defender. Don't think you can blame Fowler for getting
doubled off, either, unless you want to play no-leads.
