Lynn unraveled real fast.. His mechanics went away... Than that
terrible throw to first.. Then a fastball up.... Manager too
slow to react

Sac fly by Montero. That probably would've been a homer later
in the season.

So he was Lance Lynn? He randomly loses his mojo... last year he
had several strong 5 inning starts and the wheels would come off
in the 6th.

Good seventh inning for the Cubs. Nice patient walk by Rizzo,
followed by error by Lynn, moving him to second base. Then
Castro coming through with the Cubs' first hit with RISP. Then
solid sac bunt by Coghlan followed by sac fly from Montero.
Good fundamental play. The one exception was Rizzo looking back
over his shoulder on the overthrow when he should have been
watching Gary Jones at 3B.

It was interesting that Maddon went to Strop to pitch to the
lefty Adams last inning when Ramirez had just pitched to one
batter and gotten him out. I wonder if Strop might be tabbed to
face tough lefties when Coke has already pitched or is
unavailable.

That will happen when you only have 5 hits combined the entire
game.

HBP--not a walk (Rizzo walked in 4th inning).
Of course, some fans in the stands boo when a home club guy gets
hit but the HBP leading off inning is huge.
