Fowler just took a pitch off his foot and he's leaving the game.
Hopefully that's just a precaution because it's the 8th inning
       of a spring training game.

The ball hit him on the shoe above the heel of his back foot,
and was described as a slider. Fowler was in obvious pain
getting to first base, but seemed to be walking better on his
way to the dugout. He might miss a day or two, but he should be
       fine.

I've had no problems with MLB.TV tonight. So it might be your
computer or your provider that's the problem. Sometimes if your
computer is on for a long time its memory gets low. Try
shutting down your laptop and then start it again to see if that
       cures the problem.

As good as Welly has looked this Spring it sure is puzzling why
we're keeping David Ross especially seeing that he's 60.

That was my thought even when we signed Ross. I know or at least
heard that Welly is a terrible pitch framer, but as a backup who
will play sporadically I thought he would be just fine and was
young enough to hopefully improve. Ross wasn't needed IMO.

In the first inning last night, it sure looked like Welly pulled
a high pitch down and got a called third strike for Jackson.
Then threw a guy out, nearly picked a guy off first , and walked
       twice on the night.
And then there is Baez. Sigh. From the at bats I saw, he didn't
really seem to be expanding his strike zone, but instead was
       swinging through hittable pitches.

I think we're still underestimating just how low the front
office is on his receiving skills. They were motivated to
replace him from day one this offseason. He may be a good guy,
decent hitter, and hard worker...but I still think the front
office has internal metrics that say he's just not a major
       league caliber catcher defensively.
It seems like a lot of Cubs fans still view Castillo as an
adequate starter/very good backup. But if he was thought of
that way inside MLB, someone would've made a decent offer for
       him by now.
