Phil Coke in the game...I thought he was Travis Wood at first
glance...Coke appears to be in better shape than I have ever
seen him...

Rosscup looking flawless in ST. Why do I feel that wouldn't
translate to the regular season?

Stupid Yankees and Red Sox game went late and MLBN joined the
game in the third, so I missed the first two innings. The home
plate umpire looked to be squeezing the pitchers quite a bit, on
both teams.
Alcantara looked anxious every time he hit.
Almora made a nice looking catch in center, as did Puig on a
long drive from Rizzo. Puig's was much more impressive.
I wasn't paying all that much attention but it seemed like Mike
Olt was on base a lot.
Kevin Kennedy trashed Joe Maddon a lot during the broadcast,
especially his "theme trips" where the players dress up for team
flights in costumes. He said he talked to writers in Chicago
and that at least one writer said that he didn't expect that to
go over well in Chicago because that kind of thing isn't as
acceptable when you're losing. Kennedy said that when players
from other organizations came to the Rays, they used to b!tch to
him about having to dress up because they wanted to wear suits
and ties on flights. Kennedy said that the broadcasters even
had to participate in the costume trips and he hated it.
It kinda seemed liked Kennedy is uptight and Maddon is more of a
free spirit and that makes Kennedy uncomfortable.
