If Baez regresses like Jackson, he will likely NEVER again be
called up, and certainly not before Russell. And a September
2015 callup is before any time in 2016 or beyond.

Whether Baez thrives or struggles won't determine if and when
       Russell becomes big-league ready.

While quite true, that is also not really what was being
       discussed.

No way, gotta save those Ws for the regular season, man.

My thoughts after watching the game
       1) I don't like Wood. Soft throwing fly ball pitchers are a bad
       idea.
       2) Baez still has the leg kick, but the hand placement cut down
on a lot of movement in his swing. When he triggers it is much
       quicker than last year.
       3) Soler is a big, bad man.
       4) Bryant is dreamy.
       5) I don't know exactly what it is because of the camera angle,
but I don't like how his delivery finishes.
       6) Ortiz kept the ball up and got hammered.
       7) Black throws hard and when he keeps it near the zone he is
hard to hit. He has little idea where it is going.
       8) Almora's leg kick was gone. He hit the ball hard to the
       other way.
       9) I really like Torres. If the Cubs trade him I will cry.
       10) Schwarber is a stud.

Castillo was also receiving the ball better and wasn't stabbing
       at as many balls.

       Bryant's power is effortless. Wow.
I didn't watch the game, but in the highlight reels of his
homer, I thoight Baez's entire swing looked quieter. Still a ton
going on, but the leg kick looked lower to me, and there was a
level of calm (if such a thing can be said about a Baez swing)
that I didn't really see last year.

Baez also wasn't rolling his back ankle. Junior Lake reworked
       his swing as well.

Bryant's delivery? Or somebody else? (Johnson?)
I only saw the one highlight-reel HR swing by Baez, but that
still looked shockingly wild. Didn't seem very encouraging to
me, but that was just one wild swing. You watch Soler swing,
Baez swing, Bryant swing, and one of those three is so much not
       like the others.

Johnson's sorry. If finishes high, it just stuck out to me.
The camera view was from CF, so it wasn't the greatest angle for
       it.
Baez's swing still has a high leg kick, a lot of movement, and
his violent. It is just less so compared to last year. They
had a pretty good view of his swing from the side that made the
highlights. There is a YouTube video that has Baez swing
compared to Sheffield's s and you can see a lot of the changes.

Only got to see a tiny clip on the Indians broadcast, which
included a replay of the back-to-back-to-back HRs and their guys
said that Soler's swing was long.
       They are wrong.
Soler's swing isn't long at all. It's a quick, powerful swing
with a lot of torque but it's not long.
Baez, on the other hand, does have a long swing. They pointed
that out. I didn't see it in real time, only a slow motion
       replay.
They liked Bryant's swing the best.
Soler will be the best hitter of the three, methinks.

Today's game against the Dodgers is on MLBN today but no Baez,
       Bryant or Soler.
Alcantara, Castro and Rizzo are in there, though.
