New GM means Jennings will be asked to take a cut or be cut.

Bryan Bennett, QB, Southeastern Louisiana
Here is what's known about Bennett: He's a wonderfully gifted
quarterback who only ended up at a school like Southeastern
Louisiana because he got beat out by Marcus Mariota to be
Oregon's starting quarterback. He's a fantastic athlete who can
run and move around the pocket with ease. He was a late
invitation to the Senior Bowl, but never seemed to find his
accuracy and rhythm during practices.
The tools are there, and he'll get to show them off as one of
the combine's throwing quarterbacks. He's going to test well,
but everyone expects that to happen. If he can deliver an
abundance of good passes, he'll force evaluators back to the
tape.
The Packers got Hasselbeck in the fifth round.

So with quarterback Josh McCown visiting the Bills on Monday and
leaving without talking numbers, what’s next for McCown?
While the specific identity of other teams isn’t yet known,
here’s what is. Per a league source, McCown will meet with a
team in Indianapolis at the Scouting Combine. He then may meet
with other teams at their facilities, after the Scouting Combine
ends. There’s a chance something will happen in the interim
that causes him to agree to terms, with the Bills or another
interested team.
So why would he meet with one team in Indy and the others
ideally at their facilities? Maybe the team he’ll meet with in
Indy is a team whose facilities he’s familiar with. Like, say,
the Bears.

That would be crazy...the first time Cutler makes a mistake the
haters will be coming out of the woodwork raising hell about
starting McCown. If I'm the new GM that is the last thing I want
to put up with for a 36 year old career backup QB

But.....McCown worked very well with Cutler, they seemed like
buds. Maybe he can help get the most out of good ole Jay.

Is Clausen still under contract? If so, I'd probably give him
the edge over McCown due to age. But otherwise I'd have no
issues of signing McCown to be a backup QB. But I wouldn't keep
both - you probably want the future Tom Brady that you drafted
in the 6th round as the 3rd string guy.
