Doing charity around town is different than hopping on a plane
once a week to do a TV broadcast, amongst his other activities.
I don't disagree that it's slow times for reporters, and I
wouldn't think anything about it if Marshall was on top of his
game this past year, but he wasn't. He was outstanding in San
Fran, can I say the same after that game? It will be interesting
to see how things pan out this next season. I think there will
be a lot more accountability, for everyone...

Ok, Hub. Good luck finding another WR anything close to
Marshall's ability when you have to address all the holes in
the 30th ranked defense while switching to a 3-4.

I think that in itself will be the reason that Marshall comes
back. Too many holes.. I don't have any problem with a player
and extra curricular activities as long as he's playing at the
top of his game. Like I said, it will be interesting to see how
things play out..

I think the first thing the players will notice it won't be the
loose run ship that it was under Trestman..

I can not for the life of me understand the Chicago media's
fascination with running down the only talented players we have.
What has Marshall done to deserve it? Blew up in the locker
room? Called others out for poor play? Even called himself out
for poor play? If that had been another player on another team
they would call that leadership. In Chicago it's called being a
troublemaker.

Evidently it's embarrassing to the Mrs. and crew and ya know, we
can't have that now can we? This team needed called out by
someone and he stepped up. Everyone else evidently was happy
with the status quo....losing.....

Whatever had gone on before I have no doubt will not go on in
the future. To me, there has been a seismic shift in the way
the Bears conduct business, and its 180 degrees from what they
used
to do. They actually hired someone who's done it before, I think
for the first time. Hell, even George Halas has never coached a
pro football team before. It there's a need, the Bears are
filling it,\
money be damned. Marshall blowing up in the locker room isn't
news. The fact that everybody knew about it is. I betcha that
won't happen. I could see at that news conference where Fox was
talking
about the base defense he controlled the room. Not the
reporters. Nice to see. More importantly, Fox having been to 2
superbowls wants to WIN one. And he will.

I was really surprised that the media was talking about Marshall
not returning. As pointed out, it is the slow time. Remember,
didn't Marshall pull himself from the New England game when it
got ugly? I thought there was another game that he did that. I
agree that we need Marshall. We need the Marshall that has his
head in the game and is a team player. I believe Fox when he
said (paraphrasing), the player needs to be all about football
and the Bears or we don't want them..
I agree with 46, things are being done differently...

One more thing... We weren't there when Marshall blew up in the
locker room. Was he letting the team have it as a leader on the
team? Or was he acting like a spoiled brat that wasn't getting
his way? It came out that he called Cutler out in front of
everyone. Jay's confidence was already shattered, he probably
didn't need that.
All I'm saying is, we all see it as we finally got a dominant
receiver and we don't care what he does. When in reality, it's a
team sport.. I hope like hell he comes back. I bet if he does,
he's on a short leash..
