Just unleash Fangio and let him do what he does to beat Green
Bay and he'll be worshipped like a god in Chicago, lol.

Read that Gase doesn't use fullbacks and likes to spread out the
load for his running backs. Forte had the the most touches in
the NFL last year and possibly the year before. I had hoped
they would have used the rook Carey more frequently.
If Forte stays healthy he could evolve into a 3rd down back
later in his career. I think he's still got it but the stats
showed a big drop off in his run production towards the end of
the season (goes along with the rest of the team).

Forte's yards per carry was down because the Oline couldn't
block for him. You improve that and he is a great back

Timmy Williams proved that you can be a great back if you have a
line that can block for you... he was Superbowl MVP back in the
day (and did nothing then fell into drugs etc).....
Forte is an above average back but the next time he breaks a
tackle would be the first in quite awhile. He's good at avoiding
contact but usually goes down at the 1st touch (although he does
       fall forward :D)...
Will be interesting to see what the new RB coach will do
(considering what he did in college for RBs).....

It will be interesting to see what changes the new Oline coach
brings that improve the run blocking techniques.

I'm a huge fan of Forte, but I see all these backs making decent
gains with no hole whatsoever. If our O-line doesn't open a
hole it's zero or 1 yard for Forte. Someone like Lynch or Lacy
will smack into the line and get stopped cold and they end up
       picking up 3 yards.

Dallas - Agreed, but that is also because the fat lineman at GB
and Seattle practice letting the rb hit the line and then
pushing the pile forward from behind the rb.
But I will say, Lynch is a different animal. He truly breaks
tackles and has great balance in driving forward. Lacy is
taking some hard direct hits and I don't see Lynch getting the
same punishment. Lacy will be out of the league in less than 4
       years.

I agree and could say that would also effect the passing game as
well, eh? Not directed at you Wshfl, just pointing it out to
all. I said most of the year, that Forte was getting a pass,
but what we saw was a completely dysfunctional offense. Whether
that is players, scheme, or a combination, we dropped like a
       rock
