Castro to the Mets rumors are starting again. Wheeler/DeGrom
       are the most mentioned names.

If we could get the Martin deal done, we could offer them
Castillo for one of those two.

They have d'Arnaud, who was pretty good after his re-callup...

That's why giving up a pitcher of that quality for Castro is a
       little...much?

I'm not completely opposed to trading Castro at some point in
the next year...but the Cubs don't have an excess of middle
infielders yet. Of the four potential middle infielders of the
future, only Castro has shown that he can consistently hit at
the major league level. On the other hand, Baez and Alcantara
have both showed that they have some adjustments to make before
they can be counted on. I don't think there's a match for
Castro with the Mets right now.

oh, LOL...CBJ, please clarify your Castro's. I thought it was
the Houston catcher. That rumor is floating too.

The Mariners are going to shop Michael Saunders at the GM
meetings next week. He has hit .248/.320/.423 overall over the
last three years, including .259/.332/.450 away from Safeco.
Any interest? I'm pretty lukewarm on him, but he does have some
upside/breakout potential if he moves to a less pitcher-friendly
       ballpark.

Michael Saunders would be an interesting pick up. I put his
first name in there so Curt isn't confused.
