Matt Kemp is a guy that I think would help a lot, but I don't
think anyone believed he'd be shopped: this is from ESPN: The
Dodgers have five players with starters’ pedigree: Yasiel Puig,
Joc Pederson, Matt Kemp, Carl Crawford and Andre Ethier. Ken
Rosenthal of FoxSports.com reports the Dodgers are ”aggressively
trying to move Kemp, Crawford or Ethier.

Kemp is interesting. His power came back and he had a wRC+ of
140. His defense was horrific in LF/CF and below average in RF.
He was so bad on defense his fWAR was only 1.8. Throw in the
contract of $21.5 million/year until 2019 and I'm not sure how
you value him.
The offense is valuable, the defense is a drag. He might make a
great DH for an AL club if the Dodgers pay down his salary to
$15 million or so. For the Cubs they would have to pay down a
lot more money.

Justin Upton has updated his 4 team no trade clause to include
Milwaukee, Toronto, Cleveland, and the Cubs. So if that's who
the Braves decide to trade this offseason, he won't be a Cub.

Not sure I would want anyone who would OK a trade to the White
Sox, but not the Cubs...

No trade lists can result from any variety of factors: teams
which aren't competitive; teams where the player strongly
dislikes someone in management or the field manager or another
player; teams with parks where the player believes he has
performed poorly; cities where a hated relative lives; cities
where a former baseball Annie has become a stalker; cities a
spouse dislikes; cities where the player believes the
environment is wrong for his kids; or any number of other
factors.

I think some players list no trade cities who really want to go
there, have heard rumors they're desired there, and use the no
trade for leverage on getting a bonus or mo' money.
