I agree, Carroll is a Superbowl winning head coach. He knows
what it takes to win and prepare his team. I don't fault him at
all. I have serious doubts about our D. I would've looked for
Tuckers replacement this past off season..

they should have just stopped it.[/B]

Glad to see the Bear Ace DC performing with his Ace players
doing Ace plays. Btw, are the st coach and the DC
related? Same results. horrid.

With Peanut being exposed in that game does that say anything
about our pass defense this year?

It might but no way for us to know. Where the Bears keeping it
vanilla and the Seahawks going all out game planning to win?
That is the problem with pre-season. Different coaches and
teams are trying to get different things out of it.
Some teams want to put their players in bad situations to see
how they handle it. Other simply want to win so do not expose
players. I am not saying that was the case in this game but we
simply can not know. As fans we just want to win and look good
doing it. In pre-season some coaches would rather evaluate
players then win.

Game planning, coach hating or not, the Seahawks bat the Bears
man on man all over the field.

I understand vanilla, but how do you evaluate Tillman after that
performance? That's a former Pro Bowl CB who was owned.

He was also owned by Ramses Barden of the Giant's a few years
ago in pre season and went on to make the pro bowl.
Hard to tell what it means if anything.

Tillman looked slow. I hope he was saving it for when it
counts. Briggs looked old fat and slow. That is NOT a good
combo for our supposed best LB.

I really can't comment on the first half as I haven't seen it
yet (probably tonight). But regardless of who was game-planning
to win you have to watch the individual match ups especially on
the line. Defensively, I'll be watching the middle -
specifically Paea and Ratliff, DJ Williams and our safeties. If
they were getting whipped as they were last season no game plan
is going to make any difference.
In regard to the recent cuts, Jordan Senn the special team LBer
cut pretty much means that the highly touted FA LBer from FSU
should make the team Christian Jones.
I'd bet we bring in a safety from somewhere else before all is
said and done.
