I don't see this team being any better than last season.
The defense still stinks, the special teams are worse not only
on coverage but in returns.
The offense will be the only thing that wins them some games.

I don't think he would have made enough difference between
winning and losing had he played. There are a number of teams
had we played them where Allen would have been the difference
between a win and a loss but not against the Seachickens as
Phill calls them. I believe Carroll was determined to embarrass
the Bears at all costs and did so.

Glad I missed that "game".....sheesh....I don't believe the
Bears will make the playoffs this year but I hope it won't be
THAT bad!

The one positive I take out of this was that it should knock
some of the feel good out of the team. They haven't
accomplished anything yet, and were being named division
contenders and Super Bowl dark horse. A little reality check
should keep their heads in place.

One take from that game Bears fans should take is that making
the playoffs might be harder than you think. While the defense
might be somewhat better its not good enough to stop an elite
team like the Seachickens. They scored every time they had the
ball in the first half, even a 59 yard FG at the end, which
wasn't even necessary. Seattle was hellbent on running up the
score and that was proof enough for me right there.
Bears fans are going to have to wait till "Emery's kids" grow up
a bit and get a few more classes of help.

Well the game wasn't great but I will go on record right now,
the Bears will make the playoffs this year.
The D is worrisome, but I think we have enough depth that once
we get into the meat of the schedule other teams that don't have
depth will fall off where we will not.

You may think that Pete Carrol is an Ahole for running up the
score and challenging and game planning, but what he really is
is a win at all costs guy. I really like that. I understand
the dont show your hand in a meaningless preseason game, but I
also understand the get into the winning groove and stay there.

I didn't catch most the first half but even though I think Pete
Carroll is an ahole I don't blame him from using this PS game to
sharpen his team's 2 minute drive to get a late field goal or do
whatever he thought was necessary to succeed. It's the 3rd PS
game after all.
And if the Bears didn't like what the Seahawks were doing they
should have just stopped it.
I think going against possibly the best team in the NFL in your
3rd PS game will really help the team evaluate who they have and
where they need to get better. Sure you'd like to see them play
more competitively that's for sure.
One thing I'm concerned about is that if our offense faces a
really tough defense that we will be hard pressed to win that
game. Our defense, as it now stands will make mediocre offenses
look good. We're going to need to out score teams.
Hopefully Allen and Fuller return and we get Mills back soon so
the O-line gets some time together.
