It's not working for me. I have "Leave words uncensored"
checked, and it's still censoring everything even remotely
resembling an expletive.
So Cactus, does that mean you can see the not so nice word in
post #185?

[/quote]I tried that option both ways and saw * * * * * each
time.

One profile option that has a loophole in it is the ignore
feature. You still see what Jes said if somebody quotes him.

Well that means you can't see or post expletives either because
I definitely typed one there.

Yeah, I haven't figured out how to turn off the censor at
another Create A Forum board where I'm an Admin.
Everything with this software is trial and error for me so far.
It's been a long time since I had to learn how to use forum
software as both an Admin and a poster at the same time.

It sounds to me you have to buy credits to get rid of banner ads
in order to turn the censor off.
The main Createaforum guy says he's only doing that to satisfy
the advertisers who obviously don't want to be associated with
terrible words like W-ang and S T F U, but honestly it sounds
like a lame way to compel people to pay to get rid of the
censor.

You guys finally convinced me to give Firefox a try and I'm
doing that for a week or two. Their Add-on AdBlock does
suppresse ads here at Createaforum.

It never fails to surprise me when people talk about ads on
sites I visit.
I'm like, "What ads? Oh, I guess this place has ads."
Google Chrome also has Adblock now, which is great.

Anybody still on Internet Explorer can forget Ad Annihilator.
That product worked for years but has really gone downhill
lately and is causing more problems than you can shake a stick
at.
