Agreed. I'm not liking this whole idea of trading picks a year
before they occur.

So what day would be ok. This is how some teams can help
themselves. I still think that when the 13 season over then u
should be able to trade picks. Sometimes u can get a deal done
with adding picks in it.

Smurf, I want the bottom teams to improve and compete. Ask any
of the others in the Circle; I normally champion causes that
would help do that.
But it's not my job to help them. It's not my job or 82's or
Iowa's or Boris' or Dave's job to help any one team. It's our
job to protect this league. This league once had 20 teams and
we've had to consolidate twice almost 3 times. Teams that are
devastated by neglect or foolishness or taking too many chances
with prospects or distant picks are hard to get new people
interested in and even when people are, it takes a long time to
build it into a contender. We have had a lot of turnover in
this league, and they aren't necessarily people who were
quitters or bad owners, but people with jobs and families and
health issues and other interests who had to give up their
teams. As one of the guys that has to go out and find new
owners, I just feel that trading picks too far into the future
isn't in the best interest of the league. Obviously there are
some long time owners who've witnessed what I'm saying who agree
with me.
I see no real issue with guys trading next year's picks to
better their teams. I've done so myself, but not until we're
into the season. And advertising to acquire next year's picks
to better NEXT year's team smacks of tanking. Sorry.

If u think that I have ever tanked a team on purpose. Then I
shouldn't be in the league and I will run this yer out then give
up my team That will give u a year to get someone new. I have
never asked for favors to help my team
