They don't have to be "basically the same" offensively for it to
make sense to move the superior bat to the OF.

This situation has Anibal Sanchez written on it...Cubs are being
used as leverage to extract more money from the players
preferred location. ...meh.

Obviously, the Ricketts should move the franchise to New York.
Brooklyn Cubs has a nice ring to it.

More great reporting by Loxas...after days of reporting a deal
with rooftop owners was imminent, everything blew up this
morning instead and a lawsuit has been filed.

Perhaps it's time to forget about renovating and figure out
where to build a new stadium.

The aren't suing the Cubs, they just want the scoreboard and
signs put on the rooftops. Today sucks.

I understand the plight of the rooftop owners, I do. But at the
end of the day if their business model works only with a view of
Wrigley, they're selling a product that isn't theirs in the
first place. They really shouldn't have much of any say in this
process, and it's extremely aggravating and kind of absurd for
the Cubs' rebuild to be hampered by these organizations.

The revenue sharing deal was extremely short sighted by the
Cubs. That was a Crane Kenny special, right?

I'm not sure of the exact timing, but it was certainly a Tribune
deal and very possibly at a time when the only timeline they
were considering was a short one ... until they could sell the
Cubs. Much worse decision for the franchise than the much
criticized Soriano contract.
