In case you missed before the last "Cubs in" topic was shut
down, the Cubs have signed Chris Coghlan to a minor league deal
that is worth $800K if he makes the team (and has another $250K
       in incentives for PAs).
I hope this isn't the last outfield acquisition. Just one
league average-ish outfielder would be a huge addition for this
       team.

Hot rumor is that he was signed to wear the Clark costume
       between innings.

       Oops!
Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic (Washington DC area) 'mistakenly'
showed Deadspin's full frontal nudity version of Clark the
mascot in place of the official Cubs' one.

Boy, Passan really ripped the Cubs this morning. Said his
sources tell him Ricketts is adamant that he won't spend on
payroll until the Cubs start winning, and the F.O. is very
agitated that they're not getting even the infrastructure money
they were promised when they signed on. It's just more
second-hand news, but Passan isn't exactly some internet hack -
he's a pretty respected source himself. What's most disquieting
is the notion that this is being leaked intentionally by the
F.O. in preparation for passing the blame.

Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that he's wrong.

Passan has never said anything good about Playtwo.
