Don't think anything meaningful other than those three signings
is coming out of this.....just a lot of talk now.....

So much for salary cap relief. Guess Emery be shopping at the
       dollar store for defensive upgrades.

That is interesting about Kyle Long. I love the effort and
enthusiasm, but he made a bunch of mistakes thru out the year.
I wonder who ge got the most votes from?

Seems about right...it's not Brady - Rodgers - Manning money and
it's between franchise tag money and the top tier QB money.

Agreed. The question is how much is his hit in the first year
for the cap....and what is the guaranteed money....

Betcha we lose McCown and he'll end up going somewhere and we'll
have crap at backup again. And IF McCown goes and does better
than Cut elsewhere, it won't be pretty for this staff at
       all.....have to wait and see...

Wow that's the first I've ever heard them talk about putting
       Shea at linebacker

$18M a year for the 1st three years is higher than I expected.
The only way I can see that being good for the Bears is if the
last few years of the deal are voidable without cap impact
and/or pay him considerably less, and/or if not all the $18M a
year is guaranteed. There have to be some significant cap
accommodation terms in a deal of that dollar amount and length
or else the Bears simply struck a bad deal.
I would be curious to know what Cutler gave up in exchange for
such a long commitment and that much money up front.

Does anyone want to make a bet that McCown doesn't sign anywhere
as a team's starter for next season?
Name the wager, and I'm down with it.
