Emery owning failure for DL depth. Props to him for that.
Also acknowledges Hardin was a bust and put us behind the curve
at S.

Length of Cutler contract is getting critiqued pretty hard by
the media.
One thing it does is establishes beyond doubt that this team now
belongs to Cutler. Anyone who's not on board with him isn't
gonna be on the Bears very much longer.

The media that are being hard on it are idiots for commenting
without knowing the details. The length means nothing without
knowing details. I am not saying it's good or bad until I see
the details. I will say that I would prefer a cap friendly 7
year over a shorter term with a big cap hit. I guess we'll see
then they release the details.

It may also be something like a 4-year deal with 3 one-year
renewable options.

Uh-oh... scoring and turnovers will continue to be the focus of
the D.
In other words, look for more bad tackling as guys go for
strips, and bad gam*bles in the D-backfield.
Sure would feel a lot better if he had said they are going to
focus on the fundamentals and ratcheting down on yardage
allowed.

Yea, I don't know if the first thing a D is supposed to be
concerned with is scoring. I thought it has something to do
first with stopping the run and preventing first downs and
scores....silly me...

Trestman talking now. Emery said nothing about Tucker.
