yeah, AJ was a great pick. Kind of like the year we got Forte,
great pick for a 2nd rounder.
Hopefully we can get that kind of production out of Bostic and
McClellin.

I was on board with wanting Hill as well. But Jets fans hate him
because all his physical skills have translated to zero
production although in fairness, with those QBs they have and
their system it's gonna be hard for any WR to shine.
Jeffery... I was pretty stoked when we picked him because I had
seen him dominate the SEC 2 years prior. I had followed
SoCarolina enough to know their QB situation was a total
disaster, plus the injury to Marcus Lattimore had that whole
team under a cloud for Jeffery's final year. I was NOT thrilled
that he would be working with Daryl Drake but thank God that was
only for 1 year. I wasnt sure about adding the extra draft pick
to trade up (a 5th IIRC) but in retrospect it would have been
worth our 2nd round pick that year AND last year to get him.

I didn't follow Jeffery in college but I did see him in a bowl
game against Nebraska. I was rooting for a local boy who was
playing halfback for the Huskers and noticed that Jeffery looked
like a man among boys. Then he gets himself thrown out of the
game.
So I kind of knew why he was slipping in the draft...bad
attitude and was apparently gaining some weight.
Not the same guy now that's for sure.

The impact of Marshall's mentoring as well as finally having a
legit WR coach and scheme, can hardly be overstated but yet
strangely isnt getting much mention.

Plus the fact he is a stud. I want a #17 jersey for Christmas.

I would love to read the reaction to the Jeffrey pick again. I
am sure it was interesting...

Even the skeptics were a lot more on board with the Jeffery pick
than the McClellin pick. I remember that for sure.
And then the inexplicably bad picks in the 3rd and 4th. But
that's for another day.

Except for that extremely beautiful sacking and eliminating of
Rodgers this year, I see nothing from McClellin that says let's
keep the kid. Seems he's taking the John Thierry/Alonzo Spellman
route...tons of potential, unrealized....

He could end up like Alex Brown...a 6 or 7 sack a year guy.
Problem is Brown was only a 4th round pick - expectations and
patience for a first rounder are not the same.
