Wish we would draft half as good as teams like the 9ers and
Chickens. Chickens are getting a 6th rounder to play like a all
pro. It's ridiculous...

Or N.E. who picked up Brady in the sixth.
Us ? We pick up Webb in the seventh and start him. bleuh.
Of course we also pick up Carimi in the first and start him.

Im hoping the same sort of pixie dust that got us an OFFENSE
last season gets us a DEFENSE this season.

I stumbled on something yesterday. I don't even remember how I
even stumbled upon it but it was a mock draft that had us
dropping down 4 spots to the Jets spot and still taking the same
Alabama LB. In that mock it seems there was no run on DTs or
DEs. In that mock we could have had just about any of the bigger
names such as Jernigan, Nix or Hageman. I said no way. And they
never explained what pick or picks we got out of the deal which
irritated me.

Passing on the top 3 DTs would be insanity. You saw yesterday
how good the Broncos and Seahawks DLs were. We need to get to
that level and fast.

I agree which says a lot about mocks that don't address the
Bears needs. If the Bears passed on all 3 DTs at 14 Emery should
be fired. We know we need more pressure up the middle and the
ability to stop the run. Emery even admitted he made a mistake
on the D-line. So if you admit you made a mistake and you don't
rectify it, what does that say? I cant believe Emery is that big
of a moron to pass on all those 3 DTs.

That DT for the Broncos, don't remember his name but he's dead
smack in the middle and huge, he made a few huge blow up plays
that really kept that game going for the Horses. Wish we had a
guy just like him! Huge, fast and able to collapse the
pocket....

Knighton or Knightson. I think he is a 3/4 nose tackle

Knighton played in Jacksonville under Mel Tucker. Maybe with
Tucker freed from running Lovie's scheme we will get back to
having bigger DTs like that.
