If your talking about who I want the Cubs to draft it would be
       Rodon, Beede, Hoffman, Kolek.
Talent wise Rodon, Kolek, Hoffman, Beede. I'd drop Kolek cause
of his rawness, control and lack of secondaries. He might be
the best pitcher to get drafted though. The whole inverted W
with Hoffman kind of scares as well.

Who else are they going to pick? At the moment there is an
extreme lack of top-notch college position players and no
shining HS ones like Frazier or Meadows with Alex Jackson
       probably being the most intriguing.
I think the Cubs would've taken Gray last year had they picked
third and Bryant were gone, and they may have taken Appel first.
I don't see any reason they'd be opposed to taking a pitcher.

       today.

That's why I said at the moment. Needless to say, it's early.
I'd bet the farm against them taking Kolek though. His delivery
       just screams arm/control problems.

15? Sounds like a warm front.

I agree with that. Appel and Gray were in their top three last
year, so it's not like they're just not going to take a pitcher.
I'm sure they feel that if you've got two really good/great
guys, take the player over the pitcher. But if the players just
aren't that good, then take the pitcher this time.

Has Turner gotten an extra base hit yet this spring? And any
with more power than a groundball-down-the-line type?
