Trea Turner has homered in 3 of his last 4 games. But, I think
too much damage has been done for him to get back into the
conversation at #4. He's still only attempted 9 steals (his
freshman year he stole 57 bases).
Carlos Rodon sometimes DH's on days he doesn't pitch, which is
       kind of cool.

So he has now shown he is capable of stealing, and while he is
clearly doing much less of it, there is no indication he is no
longer capable of it; he has now shown he is capable of hitting
for power, though his BA appears to have fallen when he does so,
which has also been true of many others when they try to hit for
more power; and he has actually reduced his already impressive K
rate (14.7% in 2012; 14% last year; 9.1% this year).... and his
stock as a prospect has fallen.
He may not go anywhere near 4th, but I doubt his stock has
       actually fallen much at all.

The twitter machine spit this out tonight about USF outfielder
and draft prospect (and brother of Kyle) Bradley Zimmer:
       "Dan Kirby ‏@DanMKirby · 25m
       6'-5" LHH Bradley Zimmer now at .419/.471/.710 w/ 5 2B, 6 HR, 11
       SB over 22 G. He's gonna end up going top-10, maybe 4th ..."
Kirby's just a guy who likes to follow draft prospects, and has
no real industry contacts, as far as I know.
Would be funny, though, if a 6'5" college bat from University of
San Something became a possible pick for the Cubs again.

It would be the second time the Cubs have drafted him.

The Cubs are a Chicago team.
If you can vote twice, why not draft twice?

Trea Turner homered Wednesday--4th homer in last 5 games. Slash
       line now at 315-387-478.

Turner also has K'd 9 times total this year vs. 12 walks. But
he's not stealing bases - maybe because he's too busy hitting
homers or because he's avoiding draft-year injury. Wonder if
the Cubs are keeping super-close tabs on him. I see the value of
going all-in on impact position players if he continues to trend
like this and the Cubs decide he's BPA. But, man, bringing an
elite pitching prospect into the system sure is enticing --
especially in a draft class with so many arms grouped near the
       top of the prospect lists.

It seems pretty absurd to think Turner would stop stealing bases
because he's worried about the draft when stealing bases is one
of the main reasons he'll be a top-10 pick.

I was being tongue in cheek, and should have made that clear.
Especially for a charming man like you, Deeg.
