I saw somewhere on that sack/strip of Cutler by Allen that Forte
had come over to chip Allen and he basically used Forte to pick
Bushrod off the block. I didn't see the game so I don't really
know.
That's exactly what happened. Allen has a non-stop motor and
you have to give him credit for a great play. I didn't see if
he did that stupid calf roping dance thing he does after a
sack...thankfully.

There had been a lot of chatter last week about Bushrod never
having given up a sack to Jared Allen so I figured the jinx was
in. What happened yesterday on that strip/sack for a TD was
disappointing but didn't surprise me. You don't want to give
guys like Jared Allen too much bulletin board material even if
they are getting up there in years.
On the positive side, NO holding calls on Martellus Bennett who
got dinged for 2 or 3 of them against the Bengals.

Even though the Steelers are down, this is still the classic the
Bears are who we thought they were, prove it to me type, prime
time game.
I guess I wouldn't mind Cincy choking another game away to Pitt
tonight because putting away a desperate team to 0-3 at home
next week is a tough feat.

Even though the Steelers are down, this is still the classic the
Bears are who we thought they were, prove it to me type, prime
time game.
Yup... Trestman's 1st road game AND the first game for him in
primetime where Cutler has run notoriously hot and cold.
Bears right now seem to be lumped in with teams like the Chiefs
and Saints as far as perception... undefeated, but "barely" and
not in the league of the Broncos who have just crushed in their
1st two wins. A convincing win next Sunday night would make the
Bears record feel a lot more legit.

Bah - perception of the 2006 Bears team was pitiful too - Just
keep on winning - "barely" works for me

It doesn't appear we are going to be the NFL champions of
September. But if we can keep winning more than we lose and
stay healthy we'll see what happens.
Would like to see more improvement from the pass rush for sure
and the running game is still not where it needs to be.
L-o-n-g way to go.

Even though the Steelers line may be suspect, Big Ben is hard to
get down.
Yeah he looks like he weighs about 270 lbs these days. He still
has a quick release and he's got a lot of years of experience in
that offense. Can't take him for granted.
