Couple of other things:
- We didn't do a very good job converting turnovers to points.
The pick-6 by Jennings was sweet but we got other two other
turnovers and IIRC they resulted in 0 points.
- Would be very curious to know if that failed 1st and goal pass
was called-in by Trestman, or a called run that Cutler changed
to a pass at the line. I suspect it was the latter situation
but it's completely possible Trestman boned that one up too. We
finally have an OL that can block in short yardage... we need
to trust those guys in situations like that and stick with the
high-percentage play instead of trying to pad our QB's passing
stats. Also... did Michael Bush even play at all?

I think Bush carried twice for 1 yard or something like that.

Noticed the Vikings punt team SPRINTING onto the field on their
punts - Bears caught by surprise on those

Love to see the opposing QB's lose that "we got this one"
smile at the end of the game.
We're lucky the ref's didn't call Bushrod's bear hugging of
Jared Allen all day.

That's how you get to the Pro Bowl as a LT... you get good at
holding without being called for it. ;D Not to mention
Peppers gets held multiple times every game so what's good for
the goose...
I can't prop Kromer enough for the work he's done with this OL.
To go entire QUARTERS without false start penalties, holding
flags, etc. is refreshing to say the least.

I don't know if the media has talked about the Weems play - the
one when he comes out of no where to pick up a punt near our
goal line. It was a weird play all around.
First of all, I think they moved Hester near the LOS and had
somebody else back - I don't know who. Perhaps it was because
Hester, as he has done in the past, let a punt bounce in front
of him giving the Bears horrid field position for the 2nd time.
Anyway, the Viking got to the punt in the end zone with a
leaping catch and throwback to around the Bears 1. Then Weems
comes out of no where trying to pick up the punt and the ball
goes bouncing back into the endzone after finally being touched
by a Viking who knocks it out for a touchback.
So we dodge a bullet, right?
Well maybe that bullet was a blank. I think there's a rule that
says if the punting team touches the ball but doesn't maintain
possession then the receiving team pretty much can do just about
anything trying to recover the ball without the risk of losing
the ball ,even if they fumble.
You got to figure a veteran like Weems knew that rule.
Otherwise that looks like an extremely stupid play on the Bears'
part.

Anyone else notice that the first person to get to Bennett on
the game winner was Long?
The TD was in the left corner of the end zone, and he came all
the way from the right side of the line to celebrate...love the
energy!

There was an obvious jersey-tugging on camera during that 1st
play - kickoff TD by Cordarrelle

Bears O-line is still struggling run blocking although there was
some improvement from last week. Still too many one yard gains
as the d-line stands up our O-line at the point of attack. I
don't know about Long or Mils, but the rest of the guys are
finesse types - solid in pass blocking but not guys that move
the pile very much.
Cutler had more pressure even though he had the one sack. Mills
was struggling at times against Robison, as did Bushrod against
Allen. I think Robison got pressure on Cutler on the long pass
that was intercepted down the right side intended for Marshall.
I think Cutler threw it a bit too early.
But overall our line did a decent job enabling he offense to
score 24 points. In fact, our defense only gave up 16 points as
14 were scored when they weren't even on the field.

Good point. Other than the lack of pressure on Ponder and the
one long run AP broke, the D was solid. Tackling in particular
was much improved and coverage was better. Greg Jennings still
had a pretty good game against us but he knows this Bears D
inside and out from all those years with the Packers so I was
prepared for that.
