Yeah, on the video replay you could see Michael Johnson not only
had his hand on Cutler, but actually hooked into the back of his
shoulder pads and tugging him backwards.
At game speed in real time it didn't look like much but Michael
Johnson is a 6'7 270 lb Peppers-type freak so even a tug with
the strength he has would have been enough to alter the path of
the throw significantly.
I also think there may have been a mis-run route by Bush on that
play but the contact by Johnson was primarily to blame.

Bushrod and Mills have a different kind of challenge this week
than last in keeping Cutler clean.
The Bengals DE were gigantic... 6'7 270 and 6'6 280... whereas
with the Vikings you have Jared Allen and Robison who are a lot
smaller but (Allen in particular) have a quick first step, a
non-stop motor and a variety of moves.
As far as the interior DL... the Vikings don't have a Geno
Atkins but they have a solid rotation including one of their 1st
round draft picks, Floyd. Kevin Williams has always been a
handful for us and I expect him to play but if his knee is still
bothering him he may see decreased reps and/or not be quite as
formidable on the plays he is in there.
Flipping things around... The Vikings will have their Top 5
draft pick from last year (Kalil) protecting Ponder's blindside
against Peppers. Kalil has seemed to regress a bit this year
but even on a bad day he is still better than the slappy who
stonewalled Peppers last Sunday. So I don't see this being the
game that gets #90 untracked. Their RT Loadholt may be the
biggest starting OT in the league. I look for Wootton to get
the bulk of the action at LDE as McClellin simply does not have
the bulk to match up and even then Peterson could be running for
big yardage to the right. Their C Sullivan is pretty good but
their OGs are average at best so our best chance at winning
matchups with their OL is likely to be up the middle.

Anybody catch the sounds of the game on Fox just now? Had Paea
doing some kind of Samoan or Hawaiian chant thingy or something.
He looks ready to go. Hope the rest are as well. ;)
