Other than Russell and Gregg, the Cubs have no relievers in the
top 67 in the NL by WAR. This suggests that the rest of the
Cubs pen rates as roughly equivalent to the worst relievers in
pens of opposing NL teams.

WAR for relievers is a horrible stat.

HRod II is now on the 25 man roster. Raley goes back to Iowa.

So the Cubs have an 8 man bullpen (that includes Shawn Camp and
Carlos Marmol) and 4 man bench now? Ugh, that's awful.

Check out the turn-of-the century uniforms for #Cubs vs.

I'll be there for the series.
Doesn't anyone in the media remember there was a turn-of-the
century not that many years ago?

The Cubs haven't embraced the old uni trend like most other
clubs. The vast majority of their turn back the clock games has
been as visitors.
The White Sox doing it every Sunday has worn off the novelty,
but if the Cubs did it once or twice a year at home, it could
put more butts in the seats.

Rizzo's OPS in the last 30 games is something like .575 -- the
good news is that his OPS in that span is more than 100 points
higher than Castro's.
