I searched around a little to find a Stanley Cup preview I liked
most. It's not the only site, certainly, to pick the Blackhawks,
but it's the one that touches on some hockey-SABR kind of
analysis to explain the pick. Here is the key section:
"Chicago finished the regular season as one of the best puck
possession teams in the league, finishing second in Fenwick
percentage (a measure of attempted shots that help indicate
possession) and second in shot differential (plus-4.9 per game).
Few teams over the past decade have been as dominant with the
puck as the Blackhawks have been, and the ability to control the
puck and possession is a common trait that most Stanley Cup
winners have"

It was for Boston. At least the last 2/3rds. Hawks started out
great. Better crank it up a few notches.

As usual the PP is abysmal. Actually outplayed the Bruins that
period but still come out trailing.
