French press here with cream and a dash of sugar. The fat in the
cream pulls out more flavor and compliments it. It would only
hide shit coffee if you drown it in sugar like starbucks.

Starbucks espresso shot is still the best in the business. I get
4-6 shots over ice, add nothing.
It is never bitter like most places, nor burnt tasting.
So let's say I was getting together with my gamer group pre
corona, I'd get a 6 shot that would last me several hours. Nice
thing about iced is you can drink it slow and not worry about
losing temp.
The nitrated coffee was like a beer version of a coffee. Not
something I'd order very often, but kind of neat to check out
once.

When you get a good location it is decent, I agree. Also why I
go there. The acidity isn't too much like some places. But I
find that the location nearest me likes to neglect something
because I have had shitty espresso there. Pretty consistently.
But when I used to travel for work before the rona I only went
to Starbucks because it was consistent. Surprisingly, the worst
coffee I've had was in WA where people are supposed to be snobs
in that regard.

If you have friends you want to see here make sure to let them
know. Spamming PM isn't an option for me.

Interesting there are some combo book coffee stores here in
California that are the Seattle based, can't remember their
names right now. But was never impressed.
I worked at a happening coffee shop in like 95, type of place
where bands played on the weekends, lots of fun. Back then there
were all sorts of smaller coffee shops around.
Almost all of them are gone now.
Placed I worked at used chocolate from Ghirardelli, I'm not a
mocha fan, but was an excellent choice for those that like that
sort of thing.
Also.....
The biggest coffee snobs are cappuccino people. May have 3 or 4
people ordering them, each want it precisely their own way, and
more often than not disappointed.
