That was cool man. After hearing Richard talk about Skyrim, (I
have not played anything else related to the series) years late
to the party I gave it a go.
Didn't get too far.
So many gaming options out there. Haven't played eq2 in a bit
much at all, been enjoying civ vi except the AI in diplomacy is
annoying.

Old school is fine for my adult game, for the kids needs a
separate approach, was gaming back in 1984ish?
Had two sets of friends growing up once I stayed put, the
athletes/jocks my age. Older kids were nerds. Kind of like the
dork version of Ogre from Revenge of the nerds.
Troublemakers too, but that was mostly night life.

I've actually had some fun conversations like that. "How do I
owed $1500 for porn!"
....
"Well, sir, you ordered $1500 dollars in porn"

Wouldn't mind some ideas for kids and a rpg. Is in a small town
medieval setting.
To give you an idea some of the examples of stuff to do in town
is work in the corn field for a minor wage, but that allows them
to learn magical gardening.
A mean guy who doesn't like visitors family disappeared, the
kids eventually find a ring making it clear his wife died. They
bring it back and it has significant impact on the guy and local
community interaction.
An explorer disappeared, they get a lead to a little guy village
where Smurf like people live. Eventually they find him dead from
a monster in a cave, the Smurf guys had seen him. They discover
a treasure map on him.
Two children have disappeared, similar to Hansel and Gretel, and
need to be saved.
Learning how to smith, fish, trades to make stuff.
An old coastal shipwreck, skeletons are inside, but so is the
booottyyyy.
Stuff like that if you have any thoughts.
[/quote]
the ship and trade craft? yeah, that's good. i still got notes
on that. creating it takes practice.
as for what's out there in the open ocean?!

Arena concept?
Interesting recall an old D&D game related to an arena setting.
Can't remember the name of it.
