Incompetence at the front door, doctor's appointment
By: solo Date: June 12, 2020, 2:15 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
We've all seen the asleep security guard or doorman. Well this
one is a tab bit more concerning.
My boy was ill enough to take to the doctor (look not serious as
of now but needed trip he aight unless corona comes back
positive, don't think he has it)
So a lady takes my wife's temp "You're good"
       Takes his "You're good"
       "What?"
       "He's good"
"That's the whole reason we are here he has a fever"
"Let me try this, nope he's good"
Inside the actual doctor's area he had a 101 and some change.
Things that make me go hmmmmm.

Those electronic gadgets are not reliable.
       Blood pressure, temp...
       You never know.
Good old fashioned mercury thermometer and boood pressure cuff
       with a stethoscope.
       Tried and true.

You've got a hell of a lot more medical knowledge than I do, but
I'd like to think they work better than that....
Taking this situation, then wondering beyond this if you get my
       drift.
       Kind of concerning.

Hmmmmm indeed. Same with all the changing news. Tests are
positive then negative then its a goat who has it. No logic is
feeding irrational behavior in non questioning folk

A good practitioner knows, this applies to veterinarians as
well, no one knows the patient, better than the parent.
If a parent comes in, says my kid is not right.
My cat is doing odd stuff
It behooves that person to pay attention and take a close look.
If they do not, time for a new practitioner. Very hard today.
I'm afraid medicine today has forgotten all of this.
       Its a shame too.
It's sad but, I'm glad I don't have kids now.
Its so scary for them, I'd be a wreck 24/7

       This goes for veterinarians too.
