Although there are many definitions of God what really counts is
your conscience. You conscience was put there to put you on the
upward path, toward a happy and useful afterlife. I was very
surprised to read this book by Dr. Carl Wickland, who was
psychic and his wife was a medium. They made an agreement with
spirits that aid in recovering Earth bound wandering spirits.
Dr. Wickland would help the spirits that came into his wife
looking for help. Wickland, despite being a minister, rejected
the bible version of spirituality because the spirits told a
different story. It is amazing to hear these spirits in very bad
shape from a lifetime of drugs and crime realize that they were
actually dead and could get help from spirits on the "other
side". This all took place back in the early 1900's. For any who
would like to read it, here is the book for free:

That is very interesting NN.
I will be checking that out.
I'm versed in the teachings of Allan Kardec... If you've ever
read any of his stuff..

It's the same stuff as Kardec, but because these are real
spirits talking through a medium it is sensational. You really
get the feeling of these people, trapped in a dark miserable
place wandering among the living, fighting other Earthbound
spirits, getting caught in peoples "magnetic aura". Truly
amazing, and 600 pages of this stuff! I think the hopeful part
is how these really bad people could find family or other kind
spirits on the other side to help them. The average person must
have it pretty easy compared to these folks.

I studied with a palero for years.
They are usually the real deal. He was.
He could see and speak to them.
He did cleansings on me, so I could see them too.
They attach to you. Cloud you.
I'm highly clairvoyant.
So....

Spiritualism was quite popular around that time.
When I went through my spiritual awakening I joined a spirit
circle for a few months where I had quite a few fascinating
experiences.
It's where I learnt how to 'rescue' lost spirits. It's quite
easy once one understands the basics.
Working with spirit helpers [what some would call Angels] was
particularly interesting.
This led to my work as a clearer of negative entities [the
religious call me Exorcist, bwahahaha] Not recommended for the
weak of heart or frail of mind.

Elric is brave to do that kind of work. My ex brother in law and
his wife considered themselves "light workers". They went around
the country to haunted houses to do retrievals. At that time
they were a bit new agey but also Christians. Then his wife
ordered some dolls on Ebay that were purported to contain the
lost souls of children. I know it sounds dumb, but that's what
they did. But instead of children they claim they were "demons".
They started getting all the classic poltergeist phenomena, and
they got exorcists from many denominations but nothing helped.
Then the went full fundamentalist and did the exorcisms
themselves which got rid of the spirits. Now it's hard to talk
to them because they are judgmental about anyone who isn't a
fundamentalist. Anyway, there are plenty of books out there
about getting rid of bad spirits and I hope I never have to use
them.

Sadly some people do more harm than good due to incorrect
thinking/beliefs.
Often I've been asked to help after religious efforts have
failed.
Many think that shrieking the name 'Jesus' is all that's
required. Many shit themselves when that fails. [I've got a
rather amusing story about the Catholic churches official
Exorcist who fled in terror, crying "It's evil, it's evil!"
repeatedly, that I'll relate when I have time]
Identifying exactly what an entity is is not always easy. Quite
often I'm not 100% certain what I've got on my hands.
This is why I do not judge and do a clearing as 'gently' as
possible.
I've encountered several negative entities that have threatened
others who confronted them before I was asked to help but they
show me a grudging respect at the very least.
I'm not entirely certain why that is but my attitude towards
them has a lot to do with it I think.
Apart from the fact that all spirits are born from the Divine,
it's far too easy to misidentify them.
A spirit that was was mentally ill in life and who is terrified
for example, could easily be confused as demonic. Treating one
as such would only cause them more harm.
So although I take no crap I do treat them all as respectfully
as possible.
My mission is to send them up to those from the Light, who
channel them back to where they belong.

Thank you much Elric for your posts. I agree with you 100%. I
was raised without a religion which kept my mind free to
explore. I had psychic experiences from childhood but I was
raised on a farm with limited contact with others so I did not
understand what was happening. I was obsessed with spirituality
after reading Aldous Huxley's Varieties of Religious Experience,
and from then to settle on Tibetan Yoga for many years. Spirits
came to me out of the blue for help. One Catholic priest I knew
came to me very clearly after he had died and wanted me to write
a book for him explaining how things really are. I refused since
I had no time or inclination for such a project. Most other
spirits were relatives and friends who had passed. I never
encountered wandering ghosts though I don't know why. All the
spirits I encountered were peaceful if not wise. Perhaps I had
spirit protectors I wasn't aware of. Now I see my life as being
too selfish, that I need to devote myself to service to mankind.
Spiritist books have made a deep impression on me in that
respect.
