What does God mean to you?
By: Beelzeboop Date: June 11, 2020, 11:50 am

I think there is but one God, and all religions are like a
       diamond.
The top facet of the diamond, is God.
All they other facets look at him from different angles.
Some facets are bigger than others.
They are the more enlightened religions.
       But, just one God.
       He has helpers though.

I think in the fundamentals of everything we search for a
reason. Trying to find a reason for all this is impossible so
far. The answer would be singular though, in my opinion. And
simple. So if their is such a thing I agree there would only be
one and that metaphor of facets on a precious stone is better
than any words I would use to describe it.

I failed religion in high school due to a similar test on a
final exam. That gay, christian brother didn’t find “not much”,
       a suitable reply.
That and my parents were divorced, so that made me most likely
troubled.. that was the late 1980s. It was still a bit taboo for
       Catholics in my country.

I’m deeply spiritual, it’s what defines me, just not in a
       religious way.

I think it's been taboo for Catholics in any country. I was
raised Catholic and came out with a strong connection to
atheism. But the anxiety of it pushes me back to faith. IDK.
       Nobody knows in the end.

       :yeah:
I had to do the communion and confirmation.
       Was baptised of course.
My mom was Italian, and my dad was even more church going than
       my mom.
Once dad was gone, we stopped going every Sunday, and things
changed for me on a personal level.
I turned my back on the church at 15.
My mom and uncle were upset, but.... Oh well...
My mom came round to my way of thinking eventually.
