Lockdown Measures Return To Beijing As Testing Reveals Cluster
At Major Food Market
China's capital of Beijing has discovered 79 symptomatic new
cases of the coronavirus since Thursday, leading city
authorities to resurrect lockdown measures and elevating fears
of a second wave of infections.
On top of the 79 cases, authorities have discovered at least 48
asymptomatic cases of the coronavirus linked to the market,
meaning the people carrying the virus have yet to show symptoms.

seems a bit excessive for a city the size of Beijing to lock
down for a bit over 100 cases...

That city is so congested, you could have thousands in a month.
But hearing about this makes me wonder when I can feel safe
about taking my kids to an amusement park, go watch a basketball
game, etc....
It's depressing.

True. Idk. I'm willing to to risk illness at this point just to
live normally. People are going to get tired of this nonstop
anxiety and fear of the Corona boogie man.

Beijing is insane, but Hong Kong is actually worse. More
westernized though.
So more amenable to us round eyes.

I'm hoping my gamer shop reopens up soon. But I have to be
careful. As soon as I found out my son had a temp while visiting
grandma I rushed over, that shit can kill my step dad, probably
rock me too although I'm not as afraid for myself. Pops here,
have a relative with kids my kids age with immune issues.
So having a circle of life with the kids involved....
Also if I return to work, will be at a school.
It sucks man.
We had plans to get away to Tahoe in July for example with my
patents, but....

Yeah that's where I'm fortunate. Boop is the only person I
really worry about catching it and she is in the most congested
city in the US which gives me hope it's not too bad. But who
knows really. Having people who are in that danger group would
worry me too.
