A simple meal at the apartment. My roommate works for a major
grocery store chain in the state and had to work until close (8
P.M.)

Christmas Eve? Nuttin'. Watched a lot of TV and ate chips and
French onion dip. I just got back from a week in Williamsburg
VA with the family, so my Christmas came early this year, so all
I needed to do was laundry and unpacking. I ate the chips and
dip because French onion dip always makes me smell bad, and I
knew I wouldn't be seeing anyone for a couple of days, so here
was my chance. LOL

I went to church in the evening--the choir sings on Christmas
Eve and not on Christmas Day, because most people don't attend
the morning service (I'm the lone alto). I'd go even if I
weren't in the choir, though.
I did present-wrapping and errand-running for my procrastinator
son in the afternoon, and more present-wrapping afterward.

Well, I was expecting to turn in early on Christmas Eve, because
I had two places to be on Christmas. I had a gift for the young
couple upstairs, so I took it up there and got invited inside
for “a drink” with a few of their friends. One drink turned into
two, then three, then I mentioned I had egg nog in my fridge and
they asked me to bring it and Henry on up. A few hours later, I
came home, threw up in the kitchen sink and passed out. I woke
up later wondering “what is that smell?”
Needless to say, I ended up not going anywhere for Christmas,
and GrubHub was my friend that day. Henry spent the entire day
looking at me like I was the biggest idiot he’d ever seen.

My son and I spent Christmas Eve wrapping presents for each
other and teasing each other when one would try to shake a
package and guess at the contents. We got up on Christmas Day
and had Honeybaked ham, broccoli in onion cheese sauce, and
Stovetop stuffing, with Christmas cookies for dessert.
Altogether a wonderful Eve and Day.

Christmas Eve service at church. (We were happy this year that
the bell choir I'm in played at the early service, and the
choir that my husband is in wasn't singing, so we were able to
go to just one service. Many years, some of us have gone to two
services!)
Dinner out at a Beni-hana style restaurant with DH and DD (a
definite indulgence!)
Home to read the Christmas story from the King James bible
Wrapping a few last presents, and then bed for DH and me. DD
stayed up to stuff stockings, but I did my stocking stuffing the
next morning before she got up.
