Service Dogs: How do people now know to leave them be??!!
   DIR By: LurkingGurl

This mother allowed her small child to approach a service dog in
training to pet it. She asked "Can she pet it? And was told
       "No."
The dogs have vests on that tell people not to pet them!
       This is what ensued.

The link is not working for me. But, I will say, no one should
       touch any animal without permission.

This is an example of a special snowflake making a big deal out
of nothing. She asked about petting the dog and was told "no",
and instead of accepting it, whined, and complained. I really
believe people behave like this because their parents never
taught them that you don't always get your way.
By the way, I was on a cruise ship where a blind passenger had a
seeing eye dog. This is a ship with large crowds in hallways and
public rooms. The dog did a fantastic job, and of course
everyone seemed to have the sense to not pet him or distract
       him.

wow, special snowflake mom there!! And I don't believe it is
illegal to record or photograph anyone in a public place.

I'm not watching that video because I know it will make me so
mad which is not good for my health.

       >:( >:( >:( I only watched about half of it - the woman said
there should have been signs - the dog had a sign literally on
its back! She said they should have said no - the lady had told
her no when asked if she could pet the dog! She said the lady
should have said it more nicely - oh give me a break!

Maybe Special Snowflake needs someone to read the signs out to
her? Not sure otherwise how it could have been clearer...

I typically try to understand other people's logic, even if I
disagree with it. But I just can't wrap my head around this
       woman.

This drives me crazy. I knew someone who said that she should be
able to pet any service animal because she loves them so much
(not someone with a lot of experience with people with
disabilities). I pointed out that she wouldn't like it if
someone wanted to come up to her and cuddle while she was
       working. She got the point.

In the long run, the child was more damaged by the mother's rant
than being told 'no' and beginning to learn we can’t pet the pet
animals every time or always get what we want.
