Oh... snack items!!! This might not be something that I will use
after the conference to remember your name, but it sure will
attract me to your booth! =)

My favorite is the Tangle

but really,
anything I can handle mindlessly while I'm trying to think is
best for me.

My first instinct was to say the toys as well, but when I really
think about it, the toys are the first thing I normally cull
even if they're the first things I normally grab. So I think
there's value in someone being drawn to a toy and going "Oh,
neat!" and taking it, there's also value in presenting things
like pens, dry erase markers, packets of kleenex, etc. that
people don't ever really bother to declutter from their offices.
I also like the idea of snack items with your logo on them.
Things like 100 calorie packs that could easily fit in a pocket
or purse. Also, mints.

I really like good quality pens, especially of they are a bit
thicker than the standard ones (somehow I find they lie better
in my hand).

These are all great! Some I've seen, but some I haven't. (Like
the Tangle - I've seen kids playing with them, but I've never
seen one as conference swag. Who knew?!)
Keep 'em coming! Thanks! :-*

We've given away external phone batteries, ear buds (for the
campaign "We're listening"), fidget spinners, hand-held mini
fans, yo-yos, travel cups, sun glasses, tote bags, 5x8.5 cloth
bound folder notebooks with calendar and pockets (nice! but
smaller audience), pens, pop-sockets . . . just to name a few
;).

I like plastic clips for potato chip bags and tote bags because
I can use them for grocery shopping. My brother gave me a couple
of USB thumb drives that he had gotten from a conference. They
don't hold a huge amount of data. You couldn't use them to move
your music library from one device to another, but they can be
used to move documents easily, or to back up a certain amount of
data.

How about the soft, knobby plastic discs that are very useful
for opening jars?
They used to be called ‘the rubber husband’. Sometimes they
were also called ‘the round to-it’ because they were often
handed out at health fairs. People would look at a booth about
colon cancer or breast cancer screening and say, ‘Well, I’ll do
that when I get around to it’.
Up steps a person manning the booth and hands the visitor one of
these handy little things with the name of the hospital on it.
‘Here you go, sir. You now have a round to-it. Let us know
when you want to visit us’.

My favorite swag as of late was a metal straw in a little bag.
So many places are going to no or paper straws. I thought it was
clever. A few years ago, I got a 4-in-1 charging cable. I also
like edible stuff, chip clips and lip balms. I can never have
enough of that stuff. I would love a power bank. I don't need
any more tote bags...especially the cheap kind that rip easily.

I work with a firm that provides very nice pens and very tasty
mints in metal containers. My DD actually asks me whether I can
bring her more of the [Firm Name] mints!

We did not take the fly swatter given by a funeral home. :)
Pill containers are good, and my favorites are still good
quality pens and Sharpies. I like good quality toothbrushes and
tiny bottles of mouthwash or anything appropriate. I’ve been
carrying around a small retractable measuring tape for years and
Dad loved a perpetual calendar like a cardboard slide rule. I
have a hot pad or two in my kitchen drawer, and three safety
letter openers.
