soy has gluten.
Soy does not have gluten.
Soy SAUCE has gluten (it is most often made with wheat--though
not always; La Choy isn't, and tamari soy sauces aren't, though
those are labeled).
Loads of soy sauce is gluten free; just by chance. The brand
I’ve used since I was a kid happens to be gf by chance. There’s
some that specifically say on the front label “gluten free” but
those are usually more expensive than the ones that just happen
to be gluten free.
I’ve dealt with my own gf diet for 25 years. For 10 years before
that my mom was gf. I’m well versed in which brands can be used.
Sil always want to buy the expensive one because it says gf and
I’m like “but this cheaper one is gf too” lol
I always find it funny reading a gluten free label on naturally
gf foods like meat and fruit (not canned or pre-breaded or
anything like that). I think it's to jack up the price for those
who don't educate themselves on what gf really entails.
I have seen and heard people at the grocery stores or farmers’
markets asking if eggs, milk, cheese, and various raw meats were
gluten free. It flabbergasted me....but Mom was a teacher and I
learned how to do real arch on my own at an early age. Too many
papers to grade and younger siblings - I got used to looking
things up. We had two sets of encyclopedias at home, it was
easier.

I've seen people who are vegetarian or even vegan eat jello in
its various forms because it's meatless.
Uh no. It really isn't. If they looked up the word gelatin
they would be horrified to discover what it really is.

So....update. Kiddo was sick so as per usual, I stayed home with
him and hubby is still there having a nice thanksgiving. I left
him to cook the beans because I wasn’t going to be there for the
enjoyment of them.

gluten stuffing :/ I almost ordered skip the dishes yesterday
but was sure my hubby would bring me a nice plate. :(

So he'll cater to someone else's food preferences, but not your
food requirements?
That's sad.

I'm wondering if someone else packed the plate for him...and
forgot or "forgot" about the GF requirement...

Oh probably. The women clear the table, do the dishes, pack up
leftovers and child mind while the men sit back, play poker and
drink beer. I can guarantee he didn’t pack up our leftovers lol

Oh, that's better. I won't class it as 'good', since he already
set himself up as the food police (when it came to you cooking
for SIL), but better than how I first read it!
