Work funnies

Wasn't sure if I should put this in the "All in a day's work"
topic because my thought for this thread is mostly humorous
stories, not etiquette thoughts. Mods, please move if you feel
it's necessary.
Feel free to skip to "Here's the funny part."
BG: I work in a very large area that used to house 6 other
people. There's a kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee maker.
Within the kitchen area there is a lot of storage space. There
are another 4 outer offices (people who reside there also have
free use of the kitchen and storage area).
Due to retirements and one death it came to be only Sally and I
in that large back room. Sally pushed to have 2 cubes removed in
order to put in a large meeting area, leaving 3 cubes. Sally
went on to bigger and better things so it was just me in that
huge area.
Since Sally left, Mark, from a different department moved into
my area because his area is being revamped. In fact, our entire
building is being revamped, a lot of people are moving around.
(side note, Mark is a wonderful person and a great roomie, known
him for 30+ years.)
So I knew it wouldn't be long before our area was hit. I was
really curious to find out what they were going to do with me.
What area of the building would I be moved to or would I stay
where I was with a bunch of new roomies.
I work very closely with Helen's team (Helen's the director and
her team coordinates company functions from CEO presentations to
STEM and other company-wide events.)
endBG.
Here's the funny part:
Jane (one of Helen's direct reports) told me a week or so ago
that she heard that Helen's team is going to be taking over this
entire area including the offices next door. Jane said she
didn't have any details (why tell the little people who are
affected? LOL ::)). So we speculated a bit and I think this
would be a smart move.
A couple of days later Jane called me and said "I guess I wasn't
supposed to tell you about that. Please keep it quiet and you
didn't hear about it from me."
I agreed, didn't tell anybody because who am I going to tell
anyway?
The very next day somebody came into my cube (she doesn't speak
english very well) and said "Helen people moving here, right?" I
said "I don't know, haven't heard anything yet." She said
"Helen, Jane," rattled off the rest of the teams names and said
"In November." I told her that I haven't heard anything official
yet, so I don't know. She went on to say "Next office, over
there (not our outer offices, but the next room over), will be
part of you. Lot changes here. All over the building."
I had to call Jane straight away:
Me: You know that great big secret that nobody's supposed to
know about?
Jane: Yeeees?
Me: Someone stopped by my cube today and told me that Helen's
group is moving into this area, along with the offices next
door. She mentioned all of your names and that the move will
take place in November.
Jane: Wait. Whaaat! Who told you that?
Me: Nancy. Our cleaning lady.
Jane (after she finished laughing): Well, I guess they know all
the dirt.
Me: Pun intended?
;D ;D ;D
Do you have any work funnies that you'd like to share?

Not very funny, but I always used to get caught out by the
change in the hour when I worked at the HQ of Royal Mail/Post
Office...
I'd be so careful changing the clocks at home early on Sunday
morning, and by Monday morning I'd have forgotten all about it.
Then I'd arrive at the office to be asked why I was late/an hour
early.
Every.Single.Time. I always got caught out.[emoji4]
The caretaker would invariably arrive to change the clock about
20 minutes after my shift started, and I could tell from their
reactions that my colleagues had been hoping he didn't show up
before I did!
