       This intern is now the LW's intern. It doesn't matter that LW
       didn't choose the intern; she was assigned the intern by her
       company (the intern is the company's intern), and now is LW's
       responsibility.
       I personally believe that EVERYONE at a company has a joint
       responsibility to the interns they hire.

       In my company Legal interns are chosen by my department head, so
       I don't think the responsibility radiates any further out from
       there. If our Legal intern was working on something with the
       Marketing department and they said they didn't have the
       time/resources to teach or work with said intern, I might
       mention that to my department head, but I don't have the ability
       to obligate another department in that way.
